Q: wat is tourist attractions in argentina?
also wat are current issues in argentina and their government
their history
A: There’s no such thing as Plata Madera, it is Puerto Madero.
The current issues are economic and political. It is still recovering from an economic crisis at the end of 2001 that destroyed the country’s credit rating and ability to attract foreign investment. They have been riding the wave of the commodities boom the last few years, but deficit spending and inflation is about to cause another crisis in the next few years. The current President is a populist that has no interest in long term stbility, just spending his way out of confrontations with pressure groups. He has started to consolidate power by redistricting in Buenos Aires and splitting the Peronist party into different factions. He will leave a big mess for the next President if he gets re-elected the end of this year. If not, there is a chance to reform before it’s too late again. If it happens again, it will be the 5th major economic crisis since 1975. Each one of them a mini-depression. It is nothing like a recession in the US.

Q: Advice on trip to Northern Argentina?
I am trying to plan a trip to Northern Argentina to see the Iguazu Falls. However, will there be other tourist attractions in the North? I don’t want to spend all the money to only see one thing and then be stranded in a hotel.
Would it be better to just go to Buenos Aires and miss out on the falls?
A: Hola ;o)
Iguazu waterfalls are great but there is nothing else over there…I mean…I should go cause they are super but all the time I went (2 times) I spent only 2 nights.
Then…North Argentina…you cannot miss the Province of Salta…Purmamarca, Humauaca, Iruya…they are wonderful…and the Province of Jujuy. Salta Town is very nice but jujuy city not too much. You can see some pictures here: http://buenosaires.giorgioshouse.com/giorgio%27s_house__00004a.htm
Enjoy Argentina

Q: What are your ’something different’ countries for holiday destinations?
People usually say the same places for destinations such as France,Spain, Australia and the USA.
Which countries can you suggest, which have lots of tourist attractions, put which people don’t go to that often?
The one on my list which surprises people is Argentina. It’s a splendid country, but people usually raise their eyebrows in curiosity when I say that I have been there.
Any other such countries?
A: BHUTAN. They only opened up their borders to foreigners a few years ago. They only let in a couple of thousand each year. Preserving their culture is more importent to them than making a lot of money. When you see what mass tourism does to most places you have got to hand it to them.
PS: It is a stunning country with an amazing culture.
Q: tourism in argentina?
i’m going to buenos aires in a few days and dont really know wat to expect!!
wat do you recommend to do?
wat are big tourist attractions?
i’v already got accomodation, and i’m under 18 so cant drink.
A: I’ve being to Argentina before!! is a great place to visit!
i loved it even though there was a bit of language problems.
Well if you’re under 18 you might not be able to enjoy the night live at its fullest, but you can always go visit the art museums in Buenos Aires or how about a Tango club? all around the city you will find music and tango. Don’t forget the food! They have what is call Paella and its tasty meat. When you get there you will have so much fun. the people welcomed me very jolly
Q: Don’t cry for me Argentina. But can I get a massage that brings tears to my eyes?
I hear the Aqua Vita Spa in Buenos Aires offers massages from very attractive male masseurs, to women tourists. With sexual benefits.
Would you be interested in this type of tourist attraction ? Too far south of the border ?
Hot tubs & hotter massage ?
http://www.spaindex.com/resort/latinamerica/argentina.htm
Snuf, you nailed the problem with prostitution. It’s a one way street.
Trev, who can read a woman’s mind. She could be shag’n, gag’n, or just brag’n. Closed doors, are closed doors.
A: You know it gives me even more incentive to make this trip. With the prices, I’ll be going back for seconds, and thirds, and fourths, etc. Gives a new meaning to multiple orgasms.
Q: Info about argentina?
What is the most celebrated holiday, what is the most common food, wars fought if any, political profile, most common exported item, most famed restaurant, most practiced sport and any famous tourist attractions.
A: Dear Kennahyo,
I’d start by googling ‘Government of Argentina’ and you ought to come up with the home page of the Argentine Government. On that page, you will likely find links to all their different government departments, states or ministries etc, that have control over all the activities you mention.
I’ll start you off – the most recent war I know of was the war between Argentina and England in 1984, for control of a chain of islands off the East coast of Argentina. The Britisih call them the Falkland Islands, and they lost their battleship HMS Sheffield during that war. The Argentinians call them the Malvinas or Melvinas Islands, I believe.
Best of Luck.
Q: clothing they where in argentina?
religion, government, tourists attractions, brief history, population, currnt issues, holidays celebrations, types of industries
A: Here is what I found for you. Hope it helps.Dress Etiquette

Q: Help? Homework due this Friday!?
Help! Spanish Homework!! Por favor? PLEASE?
I have to write a dialog in spanish between 2 or more people. It HAS to include:
-5 questions with 5 responses (remember that verb goes before subject in a question)
-5 uses of tener correctly conjugated (if you say “tu” must use “tienes,” etc.)
-5 uses of estar or ser that are correctly conjugated (yo estoy, tu estas, etc.) AND correctly show you know when we use ser and when estar for is.
-for extra credit, 5 uses of our weather terms or of another recent grammar lesson (up to 5 points extra credit)
I really need to do the extra credit one that is worth 5 points.. I have a really low grade in this class… The only thing I do ask of you is to please give me ideas on a subject or a problem.
Like, for example: my teacher is a security guard at a major tourist
attraction in Argentina, and I have become separated from my group. Then you say who would start the conversation.
I would use the example but a classmate of mine is going to use it.. So I cannot use it.. =(
Please help me? Por favor y gracias?
This assignment is due by this friday!
A: Here are a couple of ideas.
You are having trouble with your passport/luggage at immigration/customs.
You are at a restaurant and you think you have been charged for something you didn’t order.
You are lost and are asking a policeman for directions.
You are in a shop and are looking for a red blouse and black skirt.
You are at the post office and want to mail home some souvenirs.
BTW: these are all REAL scenarios that have either happened to me in another country or I was in line behind the person with the problem (the passport).

I have to turn in this assignment before this Friday. Please and thank you!
A: Well, a situation could be of you going to buy an umbrella to a spanish store because it’s about to rain and you could start the conversation by saying. Buenos días, quisiera comprar una sombrilla, ¿tiene alguna de color negro?
or something like that, hope this helps.
Q: Which one of these stimulus projects do you think created jobs and helped stabilize the economy?
$5 million grant from the Department of Energy to create a geothermal energy system for the Oak Ridge City Center shopping mall in Oak Ridge, Tenn.Researchers at Penn State University received $1.57 million to search for fossils in Argentina
A liberal-leaning theater in Minnesota, In the Heart of the Beast, named after a famous quote by leftist leader Che Guevara, received $100,000 for socially conscious puppet shows.
The administration allocated $133 million to renovate the Edith Green/Wendell Wyatt Federal Building in Portland, Ore., by installing a vegetative façade of plantings to improve the building’s insulation.
$6 million went to the New York advertising firm Young & Rubicam to advertise the transition from analog to digital television, which created three jobs.
More than $2 million in stimulus funds that went to pay for new pipes to pump recycled water to the Sharp Park Golf Course, which the San Francisco City Council considered closing because of the threat it posed to the California red-legged frog.
Two million dollars in stimulus money went to build a replica railroad as a tourist attraction in Carson City, Nev.
A dinner cruise company based in Chicago received nearly $1 million in funds to combat terrorism.
Half a million dollars went to Arizona State University to study the genetic makeup of ants to determine distinctive roles in ant colonies
$450,000 went to the University of Arizona to study the division of labor in ant colonies.
The State University of New York at Buffalo won $390,000 to study young adults who drink malt liquor and smoke marijuana.
The National Institutes of Health got $219,000 in funds to study whether female college students are more likely to “hook up” after drinking alcohol.
The University of Hawaii collected $210,000 to study the learning patterns of honeybees, and $700,000 went to help crab fishermen in Oregon recover lost crab pots.
A: It’s another one of those ‘changes you can believe in’….but never fear, the jobs and economical
recovery will be here…..someday…..hopefully!
Q: Spanish help?
