Q: AA route planner. How to just get the directions?
i want to go to my destination. however before when i use to go on AA Route planner to get a route. it would be a whole page just on the directions.

now it gives the directions of route on the left and the whole map (which i dont want on the right) how do i get rid of the map on AA route planner and just have the directions to my destinations.

A: When I used it a few weeks ago it just printed out the directions and not the map.

Q: Printing AA route planner from web?
I have tried to print the AA route planner from the web but it prints just the heading. I have copied and pasted into a word document but the map appears blank. I could do this at one time but do not know what has happened. My printer is an Epson R200

A: With map displayed on the screen you have to use the Print Screen button. Usually next to the Scroll Lock

Q: Now then the AA Route planner is brilliant BUT…?
When you get a print out of your journey it robs you of all your ink on the coloured bar signs etc :( is there another planner as good but just the basic details in text…Your welcome to call me a tight sod if you wish :)

A: http://www.viamichelin.com/

Q: why cant you get a route planned to Kinloss on TomTom or AA routeplanner?
when i type it in on tomtom it flickers onto the map showing where kinloss is then it says no route found, so i thought i’d try AA route planner and the same thing happens. works in RAC route planner though. anyone know why?

A: Nobody wants to go there????

Q: on the AA route planner, what do they mean when they talk of a traffic blackspot?

A: lots of accidents

Q: I need to find the AA route planner?

A: google search engine,,,,,,, hey presto i am good

Q: where can i find free down load of aa route planner,i have tyred lime-wire?

A: Just type in AA Route planner into Google. It is free, or didn’t you know…….?

Q: AA Route Planner?

A: Don’t go there.
I’ve used it twice in the last month and both time it was wrong somewhere on long the road. I am not stupid and am perfectly capable of reading a route map…oh and following it, but at one point it kept telling me to turn right at the next junction but I couldn’t as it was a one way road!!!! It cost me an interview too, got lost and was 25 minutes late due to wrong info. try using another one, am sure it would be better.

Q: What is the easiest route by car from Chester to Newmarket?
Does anyone know the easiest route by car from Chester in Cheshire to Newmarket in Suffolk and how long it takes?

AA route planner is saying go via Stoke on Trent but i thought you could get to it on the motorway.
Thanks in advance!

A: according to The AA website close 80 miles is on the M6, M42,M6 motorways, then the most direct rout from the M6 is the A14.

Q: Whats the best route planner, RAC or the AA.?
Im heading for the boat soon.

A: You’ve lost me! (I tend to use my satnav but I’m not sure I would if I was heading to a boat)

Q: does anyone know of a website with a route planner for pedestrians?
I use the AA and RAC sites to find a route when I’m driving but i’m thinking of cycling to work and trying to find the safest route

A: try this link

Q: Best route to drive from Holland to Switzerland but avoiding France?
Does anybody know a good web route planner? I tried AA, RAC etc. and all have allow you to enter a “via” which will work, but I would prefer to just avoid France altogether and optimise the route on that basis. I want to drive in Germany for as much of the route as possible.

A: please try http://www.routenet.nl/?language=GB ..I used this couple of times and it is easy. Good luck and have fun with your trip :) )

Q: How long does it take to travel from Manchester to Cornwall?
Does anyone know how long it takes approximately to travel from Manchester to Cornwall? I’ve never travelled between the two before, and would like an approximation of how long it takes to actually get between the two.

Please don’t recommend that I use the AA Route planner, as I’m very weary of it. I agree with the approximation timings of routes that I travelled on a regular basis, but I am dubious when it comes to longer distances (perhaps it’s because it gives slower timing than what my parents drove). I’d appreciate it a lot if there was someone with personal knowledge.
I will be travelling by car. No idea what roads or motorways though.
Quickly! Has anyone ever travelled between Manchester and Cornwall? I don’t care where to, I just want a quick approximation. I really don’t understand how someone can say it takes a couple of hours, when I know it takes 3 hours to travel between Bristol and Cornwall – and I’m sure that Bristol is more than an hour to Manchester (Internet says 3 hours). Google says it takes 7 hours, and the AA says 6 between Manchester and Cornwall. Can anyone clarify this?

A: M6 M5 SOUTH 65MPH 5 HOURS

Q: How long would it take to drive in the morning rush hour from Guildford or Godalming to Edenbridge?
I was looking at taking the A3, M25, A25 and B269, unless there’s a better alternative. Wondering how long this is realistically going to take, as the AA route planner suggests 47mins. Also, should I avoid Guildford town centre as part of the route in the rush hour?

Thanks.

A: i’m not sure how long it would take to get there, but in rush hour i would probably avoid guildford town centre cause it can get pretty dyer in the morning! and with loads of one way systems you just have to sit in it..
but if it’’s gonna take ages to go around guildford town centre it might be worth it to risk going through the centre cause sometimes its not as bad as others, but thats like anywhere depending on accidents etc.

Q: I was thinking of going from walsall to plymouth and driving down there?
on the aa route planner it says it would take approximately 3 hours 34 minutes. and it would be 207.7 miles. i was wondering how much petrol would be needed and how much it would cost? its an old cleo? i don’t know the year as its my friends car, this is just an idea to see if its cheaper to go on coach or train? or to just drive there?

A: Even at the price of petrol it would still be a lot cheaper than the train or coach. Not only that, you are not held to a timetable and you can stop for a break if you want!

Not only that it’s a straight drive down the M5 and the A38 so you will be at cruising speed most of the time so I would say about ½ to ¾ tankful.

Personally I would never take any notice of these so called planners! I’ve never known one to be accurate yet and I have driven professionally all my life!
