Q: Who is the Jewelry Supplier for Celebrity Cruise Line?
I recently completed a cruise on the Celebrity Century. They have a jewelry store on board, and my wife took a liking to a specific Tanzanite ring. We did not purchase it on board. I am curious if I could locate the same ring via an online retailer. If I knew who the supplier is, I might have a fighting chance of locating it. Thanks!

A: If you are looking to buy in bulk, you can locate the supplier or call the suppliers for free from http://www.hellotrade.com B2B website. B2B websites list the suppliers along with product details to help buyers to locate and contact them easily.

Q: Celebrity Cruise Line Not What it Used to Be ?
I got back a couple of weeks ago from a cruise to the Caribbean on Celebrity’s Mercury.

This is not the Celebrity I remember from about eight years ago. THAT Celebrity featured cuisine a couple of steps above the other mainstream cruise lines. The current Celebrity cuisine seems very ordinary.

Am I remembering an ideal past that never happened?

A: My guess is budget cuts are forcing them to buy lower quality food. My parents went on a Celebrity cruise about that long ago, then they went on a Carnival, and RC cruise. They said Celebrity had the best food by far.

Q: What is the concierge class on celebrity cruise line?

A: The Concierge Class is a step above the standard balcony cabin. There will be a bottle of champagne in your cabin upon arrival. Everyday, you will receive a bowl of fruit as well as a plate of finger sandwiches every evening.

Additionally, the bathrobes are thicker. I believe that the Stateroom Attendent may also have less cabins that he/she is responsible for and therefore service is more attentive as well.

Q: Celebrity Cruise Line question?
Do any of the Celebrity ships (particularly the Millennium) have a buffet? And if so, what times are they open? And does the cruise line tell you what time you can eat at them or can you go whenever? Thank you in advanced.

A: Of course, the Millenium will have a buffet. The hours are usually posted in your daily newsletter that is put in your stateroom when the room stewards perform turn-down service. There is also 24 hour room service where you can order food delivered to your stateroom at no charge. There is also a pizza bar that is open (sometimes 24/7). You’ll not need to concern yourself about FOOD. There is plenty of it to be had.
You can also go online and see the layout of the ship; find your stateroom, and look at the public areas. Many times people think they save money by booking direct rather than using a travel agent. WRONG. A travel agent will help you
traverse all the questions you may have. You don’t pay extra for that service. Always use a travel agent, it saves you time, money and disappointment. The difference is when you book online you may have that balcony cabin, but you don’t realize it is obstructed!

Q: I need to get to the vancouver airport from the cruise line (Celebrity Summit) whats the cheapest way to go?
or faster or more convenient under $20.

A: Well for $20? The city bus will cost $2.25 each adult, you can figure out how to do that on www.translink.bc.ca your starting point is AIRPORT – YVR, GRANT MCCONACHIE WAY, RICHMOND and your end point is Canada Place. it will take about an hour. I don’t suggest you do this.

Apparently a cab will cost about $28 CDN according to the port of vancouver.

Bus: The shuttle bus (called The Airporter) is $12 one way or $18 round-trip. It goes to all the major downtown Vancouver hotels, the cruise ship terminal and the inter-city bus depot. It’s a comfortable bus that leaves every 15 minutes (06:30 to 00:10 hours) from the airport’s two Arrivals levels. You can buy a ticket on the bus. For the Airporter, phone (Vancouver area): 604.946.8866 or 1.800.668.3141 (outside the Vancouver area.)

Limo: Limojet Gold Express has the exclusive limousine concession from the airport and operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Limos are located outside the arrival areas. Each holds about seven or eight passengers and they charge a flat rate to all destinations. The rate to downtown is $39 (plus taxes.) Call 604.273.1331.

Personally I would do the shuttle. oops I just realized I answered your question backwards by switching your destination and departures places, but the info is the same.

Q: celebrity cruise line spa help?
does anyone know how much the spa runs on celebrity cruise line.. there is no info on their website. just looking for a ball park estimate on a basic massage and a couples massage. and if possible any info good or bad on the millennium ship.

A: Here is the Spa Menu from the Solstice. I would think it would be the same for all Celebrity Cruises

Q: Celebrity Cruise line, The Summit, had serious bearing broblems on the May 7th sailing to Alsska. What happed?
I was on a Celeberty inside cruise to Alaska, May 7th sailing The Ship was named “Summit.” the trip to Hubbard glacier was cut short. This ship has serious engine problems, it rumbled and vibrated like a tin lizzy. The Captain completed the last three thousand miles on one engine. He missed promised ports-of-call. My once in a lifetime vaction was compromized I feel cheated. Does anyone care?

A: You should contact the cruise line, and see what, if any compensation they are offering. Usually they will offer a discount on another cruise, but their attitude is “tough luck”. They want you to spend more money with them. If you are not going to take another cruise, they figure they already have your money and, seeing as you are not going to use them again, they have no reason to care!

You may consider a lawsuit against them to get some of your fare refunded!

Q: can anyone help i would like to know the drink prices on celebrity cruise line?

A: http://www.cruisesavvy.com/cruise_pictures/drink_prices?page=3

This worked for me!

Q: What is the best Cruise Line?
I been a one cruise ship four years ago. The ship was monarch of the seas on the Royal Caribbean. My sister is planning a 18th birthday cruise for her son next March. We are curious how the other cruise line compare to Royal Caribbean. If anyone had been on Norwegian Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruise, Disney Cruise Line, Carnival Cruise or any other cruise from the United States of America please let me know what you think of them.

A: Rankings:
1. Princess Cruises
2. Holland America Line
3. R.C.I.
4.Carnival
5. N.C.L.

I enjoyed Princess the most. They had okay food, good service, big ships, clean ships, well designed ships, a variety of things to do.
Holland America Line was my second best cruise. The teens club wasn’t amazing, but the basketball court was nice. The food was mediocre, the service was great, they had great movie choices unlike R.C.I. which played the same 10 movies over and over again, smaller ships, clean ships althoguh not well designed and some things to do.
R.C.I. had no movie choices. I ended up watching G.I. Joe four times. They had bad food, mediocre service, big ships, clean and well designed (better than Princess) ships.
Carnival had amazing food, good service, big ships, cleaniness was okay, crowded, and the design was bearable.
N.C.L had terrible food, terrible service, old ships, terrible cleaniness, not crowded, but there was nothing to do. I played Wii and table-tennis the whole time.

Q: Choice on Carnival or Celebrity cruise line?
So me and my family are looking for a nice cruise for the christmas holidays. Our two options are Carnival cruise lines (pride) and Celebrity cruise line (Mercury). In our family I am 15, my two parents and my 26 year old sister so we don’t need anything like disney lol. BUT i wanted to know what people would say given the choice between the two cruise lines because we still want to have a lot of fun on the cruise.
I’m not making the plans, I just wanted to do research myself… and it says that Celebrity has a teen program though….

A: I’m surprised you can still book a Christmas cruise at this late date!

Normally, I would say you should choose Celebrity – much classier, better food and service, a bit more “mature” passenger [in both meanings of the word]. However, Mercury is one of Celebrity’s oldest ships and if it hasn’t been refurbished recently, it may be too “dated”.

The Carnival Pride, on the other hand, is a newer ship. Carnival makes a good first cruise and the food and service are pretty good. The decor is way over-the-top, however – think Vegas glitz. The passengers tend to be a bit younger and, sometimes, more rowdy. It is also a larger ship than the Mercury, I believe.

It also would make a difference what the itinerary for each cruise is.

Celebrity and Carnival both have teen programs.

Your ship will be very full, no matter which one you choose, as Christmas [and New Year's] are the most popular [and most expensive] weeks to cruise.

If you want to do more research, your library or bookstore will have books on cruising that will give you an overview on the lines/ships/itineraries, etc. They will also have books on “Caribbean Ports of Call” [assuming that's where you're going].

You could also go to CruiseCritic.com and click on “Boards”, then go to whatever topic interests you [e.g. "Ports of Call", "Family Cruising", "Member Reviews", etc.]. Tons of info there from experienced cruisers.

Q: Celebrity Cruise line????? HELP PLEASE?
I’m going on my first cruise with celebrity and I just wanted to know what people think about it, like how’re the cabins and food and service and activities. I’ll be on the Mercury too if that helps…

A: I was on the Celebrity Mercury in September cruising Alaska. It was nice, the staff were great and the food was terrific. We stayed in an inside room, which was fine. It was small but had a glass wall, so it seemed bigger. We were travelling with a group, and only slept in it. I thought the shows were excellent, and dancing at the Navigator club was fun. There is always something to do. No complaints at all.

Q: Anyone else been on Celebrity Cruise lines?
I was just on their ship the Galaxy for the 2 week cruise and I had a blast. It was my first cruise and I LOVED it. Being from Boston I had never been on a cruise and I wanted to go.

Anyone else like their cruise line?
Ya they went the extra mile and more for their guests.

A: I agree, I thought that Celebrity was the best line I have sailed with so far. They seemed to go that extra step that made the cruise so special. Fantastic.

Q: Cruise Line Celebrity Summit room refrigerator?
Hello cruisers.
Just booked a Deluxe Ocean View Cabin on the Summit. On the diagrams I can not see any refrigerator in the little Room. (?!)
Also just noted they have no self-serve-laundry. How does that work? We are gonna be on it 14 days and my wife is worried about her underthings–she’s a sweaty little thing.
Thanks.

A: Anytime we have been in a deluxe ocean view room there has been a refrigerator. The staff will provide you with bags to send your laundry out. You could always hand wash if you remember to take detergent. Have Fun….

Q: Celebrity Cruise Line?
Well me and my parents were thinking about doing a cruise on the Infinity for 2 weeks from chile to argentina. What is the infinity like? how new is it? How is the food? Do they have a lot of activities[im 15] that will entertain me? and how about stuff for teenagers? And if anyone has done this cruise how are the ports of calls and is it worth spending my whole christmas break on this cruise?
and are the teens allowed into the spa/fitness area? and what about the specialty restaurants? and are they allowed to participate in the activities?

A: I was just on a 2 week cruise on Celebrity Cruise lines last month and they are the best. It was my first cruise and I had a blast. There were tons of teens on the ship and they could use anything except the Casino. You had to be 18 to drink or use the casino. The teens can use the SPA but it costs money for anyone to use it.

The food is amazing and there is only one resteraunt on the ship and thats where you go for your dinners. Since your going on a 2 week cruise you will have 3 formal nights 3 semi formal nights, and 5 casual nights. Make sure you all have your passport though because Celebrity requires them when booking a cruise with them.

They have tons of stuff for teens including a night club. I am 26 and I had a blast and seen tons of teens having fun. Service is excelent and they are wicked clean. Your room is cleaned 2 times a day which is good. The rooms are good. You want to get an outside cabin though so you at least have a big window. The higher up the bigger the window.

They take tons of professional pictures and it is well worth it. They have someone to take your picture each time you get on the ship at a new desination.

Also what they did on our cruise was the first sea day at 10am we went down to the theater and we paid $25 bucks and got a large black bag and it had a treasure map where we could use on the islands. We got tons of free stuff which was worth the $25 bucks. All the free stuff we got totaled $500 bucks.

You will have a great time. The staff were wicked friendly and everything was wicked clean. They had purell wipes at all dinners and buffet breakfasts and lunches.

Go with Celebrity you will have a great time.

Q: Celebrity cruise line teen program??? Please help me out…..!!?
So I’m going on a celebrity cruise ship to the carribean with my family for the holidays. All the reviews I read say that its centered around adults and I’m fine with that but I want to make sure that there’s a good teen program. I read up on the website that there is but I’d like to hear from people who’ve actually been on a cruise (not just celebrity but it would help) to say what its like and what I can expect i.e. how many people and what we do because I know the website might say one thing but I want to know how it actually is.

A: I don’t think they cater much to teens

of course they probably have a few activities here and there and I think they may have a teen center but Celebrity is, as you mentioned, targeted for the older crowd

you’re looking for Carnival and Royal Caribbean
