Q: Can I lie to Las Vegas hotel about the number of people stay in my room?
I am going to stay in a strip hotel for 7 days in Las Vegas. It is a very busy hotel/casino. I don’t believe they are tracking how many people stay in a room. I check the rate online. For two people with two queen beds, it is about $100 a night. For four people with two queen beds, it is about $200 a night. We are two couples and only need two room keys and will spend most time on casinos instead of rooms and maybe skip the sleeping part. Do you think I can fill “two” on quest number and save $700?

When I was in college and went for spring break, I always made reservation for two but there were always four staying in one room. And I have never got caught.

But I have never tried this in Las Vegas. What if I got caught, would the hotel charge me full rate like $1,200 a night? That is official rate they put on the wall when I stayed there last time.
The other couple is my parents. They are frugal people. If I book two rooms, they would say I am wasting money.
And from my experience, these casino hotels really don’t care it is two or four people stay in the room. Their revenue comes from gambling.

A: I live in Vegas and am friends with Oscar Goodman….i have reported you to the authorities……

Q: Working at home with a newborn? Is it possible?
So, Im getting this work at home job through the Hilton Hotel as a reservations specialist. I am only doin gpart time about 24 hoours a week. Anyway, Im going to have a baby soon, and Im wondering how I will do it. I know its great because it is all at home, but is it even possible? My husband and I could use the extra money…we are not totally broke, but we have about 1000 left over a month after paying bills, but even if I bring in 500 a month…it helps! We would like to start saving a little each month so that we can go do some fun stuff with the baby. We live in Florida by the way! Anyway, Im also in school, but its all online, and I usually work on it for about an hour or two when my husband gets home from work, or Sunday morning. I only take about two classes at a time, so that isnt a problem.
But, how do you think the work thing will do with a newborn?
I might not stick with it for too long, but i would be nice until we sort of get a feel for how much the baby is going to cost us each month, and stuff like that, and also until my husband puts on his next rank.

A: I think it would totally be possible! I am starting school next semester with a 7 month old and put it off until now because I thought it would be too much and it came to find out it wouldn’t have been.

Most newborns sleep 18-20 hrs a day, giving you plenty of time to get work done and when they get older most of the time they’ll be easy to entertain, my son could play with a sock for hours! good luck and congrats on the baby!!

2. say i have a reservation at chef mickey’s at contemporary and i’m stayin at allstar movie do they have direct shuttle to contemporary or do you catch bus to a park and then transfer to hotel.

3. Last year i went week before 4th of july and it was very comfortable and not crowded to me this year im going on the 4th but will not visit the parks until the 5th thru the 9th will it be a lil less crowded than the actual week leading up until the 4th

7. for the parades are you allowed to bring a portable chair to sit in if not what can i do to be comfortable? My feet hurt so bad standing wacthing the parades.

hope this aint to many questions and thanx for all feed back in advance.

A: Yes, your tickets will be loaded on to your hotel key. So if you are going to have days left, you’ll have to make arrangements to make sure that this is taken care of. If you have no expiration, they will be able to take care of you, but just be sure you point that out as you are checking in.

The hotels do NOT have buses between them. You’ll need to take a bus to the Ticket and Transportation Center, and from there, you can get anywhere via other buses, monorail, or ferries. The Contemporary has a monorail you can take.

The week surrounding the 4th of July is the busiest time of year with the exception of Christmas week. Expect major crowds your entire visit.

You can get over to the Boardwalk or the Polynesian or somewhere like that to catch some of the fireworks. Transportation will be crazy, so be sure to allow plenty of time.

Quick services restaurants are very similar – it’s not like you’ll miss out on a gourmet meal. I would suggest checking out http://www.allearsnet.com They have the menus and reviews. Everybody has a different opinion on what is good, so you should choose based on what you like.

Sounds like you are well equipped already as far as stuff. Don’t forget sunscreen and possibly hats and sunglasses.

If you get to the parades first thing, you may be able to sit on the curb briefly. But cast members may ask you to move at some point. Basically as far as a guaranteed seat, your only option is to find an empty bench along the parade route and stake it out – and you may very well have to get there 2 hours ahead of time (possibly even more at this super-busy time) to get the bench. They won’t let you set up your own seat.
